10 Inspiring Bullet Journal Ocean Themes

Whether you are planning a vacation at the beach or just dreaming of it…ocean themes make wonderful bullet journal spreads.

I’ve rounded up 10 tranquil beach/ocean themes to get you started.

#1. Treasures of the Sea

Stingray, jellyfish, seaweed, coral, starfish, a treasure chest and more sea life create this lovely and inspiring monthly cover page from @gothicstudies. It’s the perfect way to kick off an ocean theme in your bullet journal.

#2. Hatching Sea Turtles

As soon as baby sea turtles hatch on the beach, they scurry to the ocean to start their lives. This event was captured beautifully in this weekly bullet journal page from @_artist in_becoming.

#3. Ocean Weekly

A wide washi tape creates the ocean theme on this weekly page created by @bananamilk.bujo. The days of the week are shown in a vertical layout with vibrant colors from the washi tape dividing the days in rainbow order for a stunning look.

#4. Let the Tide Roll In

Beautiful blues create this ocean themed weekly spread from @awellplannedyear. Bubbles, seaweed, starfish, coral, and seashells are arranged to accent the page while still providing plenty of space to record information for the week.

#5. Sea Turtle

A large sea turtle is the perfect way to kick off this ocean themed monthly cover page by @bujo.charlie. The turtle is drawn inside a diamond shape and then filled in using water color. A bit of pink coral accents the design.

#6. A Day at the Beach

I never thought to decorate my entire bullet journal page but this spread from @annamariabujo is so inspiring. It’s a beautiful watercolor beach theme showing waves crashing on the sand, a dog playing on the beach, and seagull flying by. I can’t wait to try a page like this in my bullet journal.

#7. Under the Sea Cover

Here’s a delicate bullet journal cover page from @softlyjournaling. The ocean theme features a blue watercolor background with tiny doodles of starfish, jellyfish, turtles, and other sea life surrounding the September title. This cover would work for any month of the year.

#8. Seashells

Bubbles, starfish, and seashells were used to make this lovely monthly spread from @bananamilk.bujo. The colors are light and bright using Mildliners from Zebra.

#9. Magic in Water

A sea theme was the inspiration for this beautiful weekly spread from @abigaildoodles. The weekly section is on the left page and decorated with starfish, jellyfish, sand dollars, clams, and oyster doodles. The page on the right features a mermaid tail and the quote, “If there is magic on this planet it is contained in water.” by Loren Eiseley. The various fonts used for the quote make it pop off the page while a strip of fish-scales washi tape completes the look.

#10. Shark Week

This weekly page is so cute! It starts out with a chomping shark in upper left corner. Then each day of the week includes something from the ocean including a starfish, a fish, a treasure chest, a scallop, a stingray, and a sand dollar. Each daily block is accented in blue which really pulls the look together by @moon_bujo.
