10 Bullet Journal Winter Themed Ideas to Try

In this roundup of winter themes for your bullet journal, I focused on winter themes only - not Christmas. For Christmas themes and ideas, check out Christmas Bullet Journal Doodles and How to Draw Cute Christmas Doodles.

Before we get started on the theme ideas, I found some cute WINTER themed washi tape in case it’s something you’d like to add to your bullet journal.

Washi tape is good tool to use when you don’t have a lot of time, feel like your artistic skills are lacking, or just because they add the right touch to your pages.

10 Bullet Journal Winter Theme Ideas

#1. Baby It’s Cold Outside

@Charliesbulletjournal kicked off the year with a winter themed monthly calendar for January. The spread is covered with bold hand-drawn snowflakes colored in icy blue shades. “Baby it’s cold outside” phrase is written on the left side of the page in bouncy calligraphy.

#2. Do You Want to Build a Snowman?

@Bulletjournal_by_danique is keeping a close eye on the weather and hoping for snow. This weather tracker in her bullet journal logs the weather for every day of the month. No snow yet! A snowflake stamp decorates the page and a cute drawing of a snowman fills the bottom of this winter themed page.

#3. Winter Tracker

You can track so many parts of your life with this tracker page! Add a snowy winter scene around it and you’ve got a page you’ll love to track all month long. Created by @bujoyourlife.

#4. Winter Bucket List

When you’re not sure what to do with yourself during the cold winter months, why not come up with a bucket list? @Bulletjournal_by danique made a one page bucket list using cute stickers.

Her list includes activities including go ice skating, go to a Christmas show, Netflix day, bake cookies, watch Christmas movie, make a puzzle, swim at an indoor pool, go to a movie, and (my favorite) journal day with friends.

#5. Winter Sleep

@Noneniebujoscrap shows us it is possible to create minimalist page while still decorating with a winter theme. The chart includes hours in the day across the top and days of the month down the left hand side. A wide strip of snowflake washi tape completes the page. Simple and effective!

#6. Hygge

Nothing says winter like cozy knitwear. @damisjournal created this bullet journal winter spread featuring knitting. Winter isn’t just about snow and outdoor winter scenes, it’s also about the warmth you create indoors.

If you don’t know, my other website is here. So when I came across a knitting bujo spread, it needed to be included in this post! Knitting and wearing handmade knitwear is SO hygge!

#7. Northern Lights

If you love color, the Northern Lights will make a fabulous bullet journal winter theme for you. This theme by @nadine.bulletjournal provides a great example. She creates the Northern Lights on another sheet of paper and then glues it in place.

I love how she incorporates this theme on her cover page, quote page, monthly spread, and weekly layout.

#8. Winter Mood

Winter can hold dark days for lots of people. Why not liven things up with bright and colorful bullet journal pages. This December mood tracker will work for any winter month. It’s a cozy striped scarf divided into stripes for every day of the month. I love this example created by @lorna_art.

#9. Snowglobe Mood

Here’s another mood tracker with a completely different vibe than the scarf shown above. @Studyyspree started by creating a snow glove and added a hand drawn snowflake. Each finger of the snowflake is number for the days of the month - very unique winter theme tracker!

#10. Snowy Day

Snow is here on this winter monthly page spread from @hannstudies_. Snowflakes decorate the page while snow drips from the top of the page. Icy aqua blue adds a hint of color to the page.

Winter Themed Pencil Cases

Add a wintry mix to your bullet journaling supplies by keeping them in a winter pencil case.
