Have you tried any mountain themes in your bullet journal?

I love them because these themes may used for a wide variety of topics based on your plans for the upcoming week or month.

When to use mountain themes in your bujo:

  • Mountain climbing

  • Skiing

  • Snowboarding

  • Hiking

  • Camping

  • Anytime spent in nature

  • When setting goals

  • When you need to be inspired

  • When you have a big week/month coming up

  • When you want a clean, minimalist spread yet still want to include drawings

Are mountains hard to draw?

Mountains are one of the easiest things to draw in your bullet journal!

And, since every mountain is different it doesn’t need to be perfect.

In fact, I’m kicking off these mountain theme post with a how to draw mountains tutorial from @l1lou_bujo. It’s the first image, below.

10 Bullet Journal Mountain Themes

#1. How to Draw Mountains Tutorial

@l1lou_bujo shows you how to draw mountains with this step-by-step tutorial. Practice them a few times on scrap paper and you’ll see how easy they are to make.

#2. Mountain Monthly Spread

This is a clean and pretty mountain themed monthly spread created by @bujo_liebe. Pink and green are the color combos on this monthly page. In the lower right corner you’ll find a mountain range drawn in black ink. A little washi tape and colored date flags pull the whole look together.

#3. Habits and Sports Trackers

@Bujomayo created a two page spread to track habits and sports. The tracker on the left tracks seven tasks while the page on the right tracks sports. Both pages are decorated with mountains and trees in black ink.

#4. Mountain Cover Page

This January cover page has a mountain theme. The design is created by drawing two lines intersecting at a right angle. Then the mountain scene is drawn within the lines. @Janina_coloring’s cover page includes mountains, pine trees, and stars in black ink.

#5. Paper Bag Pages

This is such a clever idea from @l1lou_bujo! Using brown kraft paper or even a brown paper bag, you can make this weekly page, too! Tear a strip of paper bag or craft paper and then glue it on the left side of the page. Then, create your weekly page adding mountains, date, and day of the week on the kraft paper part.

#6. Mountain Moods

Here’s a circle mood tracker with a mountain theme. Designed by @mirisplace_official, the circle has a block for every day of the month. In the center of the wheel is a mountain scene. The mountains are made in black and white and then the sky is filled with blue and green.

#7. Crystal Ball Habit Trackers

Three crystal balls created by @art.aniaty track skincare, instagram, and reading for the month. At the top of the page is a hand drawn mountain range with a starry night. The page was made with black and gold pens.

#8. The Best View

Here’s another cover spread and this one was created by @lyrajournals. On the left is a quote, “the best view comes after the hardest climb.” On the right is a circle with a mountain scene drawn in the center. Both pages are made using a peach and black color palette.

#9. Dutch Door

This mountain theme bullet journal spread features a Dutch door. It is a monthly page spread with sections for monthly overview, finance tracker, productivity, notes, goals, and study notes. Mountains decorate the page for a cohesive look.

#10. Mountain of Moods
